SkyCell, in strategic collaboration with first airline partners, Emirates and United Cargo, introduces Net ZERO Reverse. It's the first service of its kind to completely eliminate the need for air freight returns, achieving impressive sustainability and cost savings.

By shifting reverse logistics to ocean freight, we achieve over 90% CO2 emissions reduction compared to the equivalent Leg 3 journey via air freight. Residual emissions are permanently removed using high-quality permanent removal projects.
HOW IT WORKS

Net ZERO Reverse in Action

Pharmaceutical products are transported via air freight in SkyCell's hybrid containers, ensuring precision temperature control and compliance.

Once the shipment arrives at the destination warehouse, the empty containers are returned via ocean freight in collaboration with our freight forwarder partners. The result? Net zero reverse logistics, significant cost savings, and streamlined operations.

For instance, a SkyCell 1500X hybrid container, already can save between 2 – 7 tons of CO2 per pallet shipped compared to traditional containers. With Net ZERO Reverse, on a lane from Chicago to Sydney, an additional 18 tons of CO2 can be avoided compared to RKN, and 11 tons compared to RAP, resulting in total savings of between 10 and 24 tons of CO2 per pallet transported.
